invented

Well, I recently put together "gathatoulie" as in
http://gathatoulie.blogspot.com -- a new portmanteau meaning little
poetic blobs of truth and wisdom cut up and cooked into a savory mush.

Personally I've always preferred "geek" to nerd, but "geeking out"
means something rather different from "nerding it up".

You never know if we've talked before til you try.
